What was life like there? What prompted him to move? What forces were pulling on the lives of our ancesters that influenced their decisions? Our speaker is a member of the Genealogy Speakers Guild and an instructor and volunteer at the Midwest Genealogy Center in Independence, MO. An avid genealogist for more than a decade, she enjoys the research and history inherent in the study of a family tree. Her interest in American history and sociology propel her to search deeper into the world of background sources and 'finding aids' to give depth, dimension, and meaning to family stories. Come and learn about these rich sources that may help you to put life into your family tree! Our society meets at 10:00 am on the 4th Saturday of each month, except October and December, at the Johnson County Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.
